Magic the Gathering: Magic Cards

Now that we’ve shown why you should play Magic: the Gathering, let’s take a look at exactly what made the hobby what it is today: the Magic card itself. This 2.5 x 3.5 x 01-inch section of cardboard comes in a wider variety of colors and types, so we’ll discuss the basics of Magic card colors and types, as well as what magicians of each color can draw for the table.

First, the colors.

White- It is represented by a representation of mana that resembles a sun. White is often the color of law and morality. Their wizards are usually uncreative, peaceful, and adhere to the laws established by man.

Blue- Indicated by a mana sign in the form of a drop of water. Blue is considered the color of logic and technology. His mages are typically intellectual, omniscient, and thus bound by inaction, holding out until all alternatives to a proposed problem have come to fruition.

Black- Indicated with a skull mana symbol. Black is considered the color of parasitism and amorality. His mages are often omnipotent, selfish, and driven by their own paranoia.

The Red-Mana symbol represents a fire. Red is considered the color of chaos and momentum. His mages are forceful, short-sighted, and motivated by a sense of freedom from consequences.

Green: A green mana sign is symbolized by a tree. Green is the color of instinct and interdependence. A green wizard will generally be innocent, driven to improve, and primarily bound by the rules of nature along with the natural order.

Multicolored: A multicolored mage can take on the perfect and/or severest attributes of any range of these colors, and they are often the most difficult to deal with.

Colorless: A colorless mage can use the power of any type of mana, but doesn’t need any of them; his skill lies in technology and artifice.

And now standard Magic card types!

Land- The core of the game; These beautiful cards can result in mana drawn from the challenger to cast all the different spells on your deck houses!

Artifact: Artifacts are instruments of excellent power or artifice items that don’t need specific colors of mana to function; Raw mana is enough!

Planeswalker – A planeswalker is a mage that can travel between planes that you can summon to aid you in combat!

Creature: Creatures are usually summoned to help you beat your challenger, summoned from various locations that could host the terrains of your colors.

Sorceries: Sorceries are spells that take an amount of concentration to cast, and can simply be cast multiple times.

Instant: Instants are bursts of mana directed in times of need, performing a variety of cantrips. Usage is limited, but can be launched at any time; even in your opponent’s movement!

You can mix and match various card types and colors within your run in Magic: the Gathering, so don’t be afraid to mix things up and have fun with a color you haven’t played long before, or aim for a deck on a card. type you are not familiar with; there is always so much more to learn, that makes the game awesome!
