Ebook Reader Reviews for the 2011 Shopping Season

So you’ve been saving money, so you can finally afford a top-tier eBook reader; Or maybe you’re still undecided on which eBook reading device is the right choice for you. Maybe you have visited my website and after reading all the ebook reader reviews I have there, you are still undecided. However, to make things more complicated, it ultimately narrows down the selections for you; You saw an ad for this year’s CES and with all the new e-readers hitting the market this holiday season, you feel like you don’t want to be left behind, so in your mind you’re back on point. of departure. Well, in this article I’m going to highlight some of the best eBook reader reviews of the new eReaders unveiled at this year’s CES. I will also try to provide you with information that will help you decide on a new eBook reading device on the market or an established one. We can surely assume that all the major players that are already established in the market will introduce new variations of their devices that are currently on the market, launch new devices like the Kindle 4, or simply add new features. to their respective devices through software updates; as did the Nook Color earlier this year, which successfully turned its full-featured e-reader into a hybrid tablet-like device.

If you read reviews of my eBook readers, you’ll know that even though it’s a bit pricey, I still love and recommend the Nook Color. It’s the perfect affordable alternative to the Ipad and is ideal for serious readers like me who still want to have fun with a tablet. This year’s CES was a pretty unimpressive show for the e-reader market, so there aren’t many e-book reader reviews to compare it to. Only one new ereader was highlighted and that device is called iRiver Story HD. The 6-inch e-reader offers a superb 1024×768 resolution, contributing to an even better contrast ratio than any other e-reader on the market today. Software optimizations make it the fastest updating device of its kind. The iRiver Story HD has a three-week battery life, built-in Wi-Fi, and supports Adobe, ePub, and PDF formats with digital rights management. It also has 2 GB of built-in storage and a slot for reading SDHC cards. The sun’s rays are no problem and I must admit that at first glance I thought the device had a sticker stuck to the front. It really is that impressive at reproducing printed materials. Physically, it looks like they used the third generation Kindle model to build their device. Although I don’t like copycats, in this case it was a smart and safe move on their part. When you read with this device in public, it will definitely spark conversations and make your friends jealous due to its amazing contrast ratio.

In my opinion, the iRiver Story HD is nothing more than a slightly improved third generation Kindle. However, I wanted to write more eBook reader reviews as a result of this year’s CES; the other readers were very unimpressive. So for the 2011 shopping season, it looks like all of the most popular ebook reader reviews you’ve read in 2010 will also be relevant to 2011. I expect Amazon Kindle and Barnes and Noble, Nook ereader to dominate the competition this year; especially as consumers tend to flock to more established brands during tough economic times.
