The Apple iPhone 5 may launch with a new iPhone Nano device

Since the original iPhone was released in 2007, Apple’s device has dominated the premium smartphone market. The phones have been a worldwide success thanks to the innovative new features that each new version of the phone offers. This year we are preparing for the launch of the new iPhone 5 and it also seems likely that Apple will launch a second device with this phone aimed at consumers who are looking for a more basic device.

Rumors have been circulating about an iPhone Nano for some time now. Although Apple’s iPhone has achieved phenomenal success at the higher end of the market, various other manufacturers such as Samsung and HTC produce a number of models, many of which are aimed at the more affordable end of the market. It looks like 2012 may be the year Apple chooses to spread its wings and launch an assault on the entire phone market rather than just the premium end. Even when new iPhone models are released, the older versions of the phone still command very high rates. Today the iPhone 3GS, which is two years old, still sells for £300 without a contract, which is a much higher price than many cheap new Android phones. There is undoubtedly a gap in the market for a wallet-friendly iPhone and by launching the device alongside the new iPhone 5, Apple will be sure to keep its premium fans happy along with a host of new consumers.

We expect to see the new iPhone 5 launch in June, so consumers may not have to wait long before they can get their hands on this model and the new affordable version of the iPhone. Right now, the specification of this most basic iPhone remains a mystery. With the iPhone 5 we can be pretty sure of some of the specs as we can see how older models have progressed. This will be a completely new product, so one can only guess what specification Apple will include in the model. The Nano phone will definitely be a smaller version of the iPhone 5. In the past two years, the company has excelled in producing the best 3.5-inch displays, so it’s highly likely that the new model will have one of these. The new iPhone 5 is also set to feature a quad-core processor, so expect a version of the A4 chipset used in the iPhone 4 to be included in the new budget iPhone as well.

Premium phone fans everywhere are eager to see exactly what the iPhone 5 will offer and it looks like Apple will introduce a second model perfect for users looking for the famous Apple functionality, but minus the very high price that the new iPhone 5 will have.
