Simple Dinner Recipe: Easy Breaded Pork Chops and Velveeta Mac and Cheese Bake

When you don’t feel like going to a lot of effort to prepare dinner that night, you need a simple dinner plan that you can count on to deliver a tasty meal. There is nothing easier to prepare than the humble pork chop.

Like chicken, chops are great for easy, inexpensive meals that still have that good old-fashioned homemade flavor. While plain chops are good, breaded chops are even better. But, at first, it may seem like a lot of work for a simple meal.

Fortunately, there is an easy way to make breaded pork chops. As you’ll see in our easy breaded pork chops recipe, all you need is a package of chops, some flour, eggs, crushed crackers, and some margarine.

Even someone who doesn’t cook much can whip these chops up in no time.

6 pork chops, 1/2 cup flour, 2 beaten eggs, 15 crushed Ritz crackers, 2 tablespoons margarine.

Add the flour to a medium bowl. In another bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, add the crushed cookies.

In a large skillet, melt the margarine over medium heat.

Coat each cutlet on both sides with the flour, then the eggs, then dip into the cookie crumb mixture. Cook chops on both sides until cooked through and no longer pink.

1 cup ketchup, 1 cup regular cola (any brand), 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 8 pork chops, salt and pepper to taste.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a bowl, combine the ketchup, cola, and brown sugar.

Place the pork chops in a baking dish and pour the tail mixture on top. Make sure to coat the chops well. Sprinkle chops with salt and pepper.

Bake 1 hour or until chops are fully cooked.

Keeping with our simple dinner theme, all you need to make this delicious dish is a box of macaroni, some butter and flour, milk, and of course Velveeta cheese.

1 box (16 oz.) macaroni – raw, 1/2 cup butter or margarine, 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, 4 cups milk, 1 package (14 oz.) Velveeta cheese, cut into chunks , salt and pepper to taste, 8 slices of Velveeta cheese.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a 13×9-inch baking dish with cooking or cooking spray.

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk together the flour and milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture begins to bubble and thickens.

Put the pieces of Velveeta and let them melt. Add the salt and pepper.

Pour raw macaroni into baking dish, then pour cheese sauce over macaroni. Bake for 20 minutes. Remove the dish from the oven and place individual cheese slices on top.

Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or when you see the cheese slices on top have melted. Let the dish cool for 5 minutes before serving.
