I have never seen a fat vegetarian: to be or not to be

Well, okay… sometimes it’s hard to change your eating habits. What made sense to me was that animals that eat meat have a very short intestinal system. This is because large piles of meat and potatoes or just meat take a long time to digest. Humans have an incredibly long intestinal system. Do you feel tired after a big meal? You should because you will use more energy in life digesting food than anything else you do! Really! Eliminate meat and live like the ‘long intestine animals – the vegetarian animals’.

I know that this is easier said than done, and despite our best intentions, change can be difficult. Just make small changes, gradually. Decide, for example, okay, I want to eat more salads and less meat. Don’t set yourself up for failure! Maybe add salad one more time per week and meat one less time per week. Do it for a month or so until it’s a part of your life. Then it’s easy to add another good intention that becomes a habit.

P.S. Take vitamin B12 as a supplement if you rarely eat red meat and lack a lot of energy with adequate sleep! I will add a lot of tips on how to become a vegetarian. Note: I like to eat fish because it’s so good for you and eat poultry when I’m craving a change from beans or tofu…lots of great recipes come to this site! Be healthy – Have incredible energy – Feel young – Save $$$$$$$ – Save time in the kitchen!

PS I love my dad’s steak – I won’t say NO to that once or twice a year. He’s a bar-b-cuer master!

PPS: For any of you who went to Kaslo School and had the pleasure of attending Ms. Higashi, she’s the one who said, “have you ever seen a fat vegetarian?”
