Graduation verses – samples for you to choose from

Having a few graduation verses on hand during graduation is a must. Graduation is a special and exciting time for any graduate. Whether the graduate is leaving high school or college, graduation is the beginning of a new life and an exciting time! There are samples for you to choose.

This kind of excitement and anticipation can be difficult to put into words, which is why it is very important to have a few verses and thank you verses on hand for graduation.

The people who wrote these verses spent much more time searching for the right words than we usually find. At times, they have even spent years expressing the kinds of thoughts and feelings that the graduate might come up with. Then the student can use these poems, quotes, etc. in announcements, commencement speeches and thank you cards.

What graduation verses, graduation thank you verses, and poetry are good for what situations?

Robert Frost’s The Road Less Taken (sometimes understandably misremembered as The Road Less Traveled) is a popular choice for graduations. It is a poem about individualism and personal freedom. What else could be better for those who are about to finally strike in the world on their own terms?

(Well … you could counter with Yogi Berra’s take on that kind of similar situation: “When you come to a fork in the road, take it.”)

But Robert Frost is not the only writer of “graduation poems.” Langston Hughes Dreams lets young people know that anything is possible as long as it is kept and believed in the dream.

This is an excellent compliment to recent self-help material on The Law of Attraction, such as the movie and the book The Secret. It is also a very important statement on how to lead life, for those who are brave enough to listen.

Of course, there has to be a joker in every class. You never know when everyone’s diploma may come filled with a strip of paper that says:

“The roses are Red

Violets are blue

Will you get out of here

With gum in your shoe. “

And it’s really cool, because everyone should have fun at graduation. It would only be a problem if someone wrote that on the actual diploma.

Of course, any graduate who doesn’t want to appear ungrateful should send words of appreciation in the form of a thank you note for every graduation gift they receive. Most students will be too busy preparing for college to search for appropriate graduation verses, graduation thank you verses, or other stylized words of appreciation. Fortunately, there are a variety of thank you cards sold with thank you verses, just for this purpose, they are even sold by the box!
