Find Your Rich Place – Part 3

God has given us principles to follow to reach our place of wealth. He has made those principles known through his Word. For us to build wealth according to God’s plan, there has to be a proper foundation. A proper foundation for a tall building needs proper excavation to ensure sustainability. The Lord has given us some commandments in His Word for us to obey. One of those commandments is headline according to Malachi.

“Bring all titles to the storehouse, and let there be food in my house; and try me now in this, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you, and pour out a blessing upon you, so that there will be no place to receive it” (Mal. 3:10). And verse 9 of Malachi speaks of the curses that come upon the one who does not obey this command.

But there is a question and here it is, “Why do some believers who tithe remain broke?” They have not yet entered their rich place. This deserves an honest answer. This means that the title does not bring the answer. But it is still very important. Some adjustments have to be made for us to get into our rich place. Once those adjustments have been made, you will enter the land of the rich.

“The Lord will send blessing upon you on your treasures and on everything you put your hand to, and he will bless you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you” (Deuteronomy 28:8).

The Lord will send the blessing. This must be serious with God. A warehouse refers to your bank account or your investments. The Lord sends a blessing and it does not stop there. He further commands a blessing on whatever you put into your hand. That can be your business or his job. Do something that is of value to people. Do what benefits people and they will buy from you.

Understand son of God that there is an enemy, the devil. As he advances towards his rich spot, the enemy won’t just turn around and play dead. He will strive to stop you without giving up. The reason is that he knows what that means to him. Now let’s take a look at how to lay the proper foundation for his wealth:

1) Use proven weapons: the Word of God to fight your battles.

When Goliath mocked the Israelites, David came. He knew the covenant that he had with God and that Goliath did not have. He decided to confront him. King Saul tried to give him his armor but David hadn’t tried it on so he didn’t wear it.

“And Saul armed David with his armor, and put a bronze helmet on his head; he also armed him with chain mail.

And David girded his sword on his armor, and tried to go; because he hadn’t tried it. And David said to Saul: I cannot go with these; because I haven’t tried them. And David shook them off.

And taking his staff in his hand, he chose five smooth stones from the stream, and put them in a shepherd’s sack that he brought, in a bag; and his sling was in his hand, and he approached the Philistine.” (1 Samuel 17:38-40).

There is a battle in the financial world. Therefore, you need proven weapons, since there is no time for unproven ones now. It has been proven that the Word of God is working from time to time. Jesus proved it when he was tempted by the devil. But the question is, “have you tried it yourself?” David had tested his weapon. That is why he spoke of killing a lion and a bear. Now, it’s time for you to put God’s Word to the test. Prove it yourself in your own life. Is God’s Word real to you? Is it stored within you? Son of God, it’s time. Get up and start believing in the Word. use it Try it.

two) don’t be haughty

What’s that? It is a charge for the rich. This will help you lay the proper foundation on your way to your place of wealth. Don’t think of yourself higher than you should.

He commands the rich of this world not to be haughty, nor to put their hope in riches, which are uncertain, but in the living God, who gives us all things in abundance so that we can enjoy them, do good, be rich in good. works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate, treasuring up for themselves a GOOD FOUNDATION for things to come, that they may lay hold of eternal life.” (1 Timothy 6:17-19).

The Lord has abundantly given all things for us to enjoy. DO YOU REMEMBER to enjoy every MOMENT of your life? Be willing to distribute, support towards good deeds. Remember to support the Kingdom of God. By doing so, you are laying a good foundation for yourself.

If you follow God, He will make you rich. Never make earthly wealth your number one priority. How can you see if money is the number one priority in your life? If you find it difficult to part with money and support God’s work, you have made a god of money. God is ready to give you the kind of house you want, the kind of car you want, and the kind of clothes you want. But you need to show Him that you are not going to give in to pride, arrogance, and conceit.

“You shall be careful to fulfill all the commandments that I command you today, so that you may live and multiply, and enter and possess the land that the Lord swore to your fathers.

And you will remember all the way the Lord your God has led you these forty years in the desert, TO HUMBLE YOU, and to test you, to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commandments.

And he humbled you, and made you starve, and sustained you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know; to let you know that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord shall man live” (Deuteronomy 8:1-3).

Note that the word “humble” is the opposite of altruistic. Don’t wait for God to humble you. Be humble. God wants to take you to your rich place. The Apostle Peter also talks about this issue of being humble before God.

“Humble yourselves, then, under the mighty hand of God, so that he may exalt you when the time is right.” (1 Peter 5:6).

3) Don’t put your trust in uncertain riches

Why are the riches of this world referred to as “uncertain riches”? It is because they are temporary. They can be lost at any time. Finance is an earthly institution. No one can go with her to heaven. When you die you leave naked. It doesn’t matter how much wealth you have accumulated. So we are encouraged to trust in the living God.

“To those who are rich in this world command not to be haughty, nor to put their hope in riches, which are uncertain, but in the living God, who richly gives us all things to enjoy” (1 Timothy 6: 17). After Paul admonished the rich on the subject of avoiding being haughty, he warned us about trusting in uncertain riches.

The Old Testament has something to say about trusting in uncertain riches.

Will you lay your eyes on what is not? Because the rich certainly make wings; They fly like an eagle to the sky. (Proverbs 23:5). Our eyes must be on God. Then we will receive an anointing to prosper. That will catch the money because money has a tendency to grow wings to fly.

I can conclude that knowing that there is a rich place for you is the first step. As we have highlighted, there are necessary foundations that must be put in place. Those foundations will allow you to enjoy your wealth sustainably. Follow the principles of success that God has set in motion. That will help protect you from the enemy who is always looking for a way to hinder and destroy you.

Blessings in the name of Jesus!
