Ethanol Fuel Research: How Ethanol Can Help Create a Cleaner World

At the beginning of the research on using ethanol as an alternative to using vehicle fuel, scientists soon noted the immediate impact it would have on the public and the effect on the auto industry in their rush to take it up. The results found by those involved in the experiments caused much enthusiasm and amazement; in fact, they would take the auto industry by storm.

The development of an ethanol hybrid fuel began known as E85. This type of fuel was found to burn much cleaner than any other fuel, including unleaded gasoline, so it was the start of great things to come in alternative fuel sources.

Laboratories around the world are conducting this research on alternative fuels to find a cheaper and pollution-free solution. This is vital as global warming is heating up and serious changes in weather conditions are obviously reported across the globe. The environmental crisis is affecting all of us in our consciousness and our goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere. The use of alternative fuels is what we must move towards to try to compensate for the damage already done.

Intensive research on the development of E85 fuel (85% ethanol, 15% gasoline), began as a means of developing 100% ethanol fuel to use instead of gas. E85 is available for use in the market and people are using it more and more. Ethanol is keeping up with the market for alternative vehicle fuels and remains the most promising clean-burning fuel to date.

Environmental damage has been created primarily by the use of diesel or gasoline powered vehicles, increasing each year as we see more motorists on the road. As we have become more aware of the need to save the environment, our thinking has had to change and one way is to continually seek out new products like ethanol as a viable fuel source. Ethanol will likely be the best alternative fuel source for a long time, as research shows, helping our world and everyone in it!
