A Dell Latitude E5400 Review – Pros, Cons, and Test Results!

Today we are pleased to announce that we have just received our new Dell Latitude E5400. And of course, we have already tested and prepared our own Dell Latitude E5400 review. At first glance, this laptop looks great, with sleek, slim lines. Its modern and interesting design will clearly appeal to most users who are looking for a stylish and elegant laptop. It’s also a great gift if the opportunity arises. However, we are aware that most of our readers are less interested in their good looks and more interested in their capabilities. That’s why we focused more on this in our Dell Latitude E5400 review.

We started testing our new acquisition right away, and what better place to start than the central processing unit (aka CPU)? It is the most important component in any laptop and should be capable enough to give users good performance. We were very happy to find an Intel Core2 Duo P8400 processor running at a speed of 2.26 GHz and a large 3 MB L3 cache. Its 1066 MHz Front High Side Bus (also commonly called FSB) is good enough to push this CPU through our most resource-intensive tests. In our Dell Latitude E5400 review, we give this laptop 10 out of 10 here.

Although we expected more from its memory, we found the E5400’s 2 GB of DDR2 memory running at 800 MHz to be good enough to pass our tests without any major issues. Since our Dell Latitude E5400 review is objective, we can’t give it more than 8 points here. Next, we were relatively happy with the graphics processing unit (aka GPU). The Intel GMA 4500 M HD managed to deliver crisp, clear graphics on the nice 14.1-inch widescreen display. Although it wasn’t bright enough for our tests, the display managed to impress us with its XWGA technology and good resolution of 1440 x 900 pixels. We give the Dell Latitude E5400 9 out of 10 for this.

The hard drive, while not big enough to hold the large media files you can find today, impressed us with its high speed of 7,200 rotations per minute (rpm). If it weren’t for the 160 GB size, the hard drive would have received 10 out of 10 points. However, because of this, we cannot give it more than 9 points in our Dell Latitude E5400 review.
