No-Bake Banana and Cookie Pyramid Cake

If you want to start baking, the best way is the easiest. To become a baker or pastry enthusiast, I would first recommend developing some necessary basic skills. How to prepare the ingredients, how to mix them well or just to get acquainted with the equipment and ingredients.

I’d like to share this simple no-bake cake recipe. You don’t need to have any baking skills to make this cake.

The ingredients in this no-bake cake are cookies, bananas, cream cheese filling, and chocolate frosting. Let’s call it no-bake banana pyramid cake cookie. It looks interesting and modern, it’s fun to make and the best part is that you can create it with your kids and have a great family time together.

The most important part is the creamy filling. The filling itself is a healthy, virtually fat-free alternative to similar rich fillings. The main ingredient here is a quark. Sometimes people can get confused, because quark is like cottage cheese or ricotta. Sometimes they call it curd. It is quite common in German-speaking countries or in central Europe.

The rest of the ingredients of the cake are very common and well-known. You will need butter, sugar, sweet tea cookies, melted chocolate, and a banana or two. You may have some difficulty rolling the cookie layers. This is when the pyramid is built from a layered field of tea biscuits, but don’t worry! If in doubt, take a look at our movie tutorial for a more detailed explanation.

Here is the list of all the ingredients.

2 or 3 packets of cookies or tea

2 quarks

125g butter

2 bananas

7 tablespoons icing sugar

Method

1) Mix the quark cheese, butter and icing sugar in a bowl.

2) Spread the cookies out on the foil in 3 rows to match the length of two bananas. Create a cookie layer 3 cookies high and about 9 cookies wide.

3) Spread the filling on a layer of cookies.

4) Place the second layer of cookies over the filling.

5) Then spread the rest of the filling over the second layer of cookies. Leave a little cream for the finish of the cake. You will need it to coat the sides of the pyramid before adding the chocolate frosting.

6) Now for the fun part. Place 2 bananas on the second layer. Using the foil, fold the cookies into a pyramid shape.

7) Once your pyramid is built, spread the rest of the filling on the sides of the cookie pyramid. Let it cool in the fridge for at least an hour.

8) Melt the dark chocolate and cover the surface of your newly built cookie pyramid. Let it cool.

Have fun and enjoy!
