A review of Sorelle convertible cribs

Sorelle is not your run-of-the-mill manufacturer. The company has been making beautiful cribs for over 30 years and remains a family business to this day. What best sums up the qualities of a Sorelle crib are beautiful designs, excellent craftsmanship, attention to detail, and materials that will literally last a lifetime.

If you want real quality and something that will stand the test of time, you should seriously consider Sorelle. There are very few other manufacturers that can match their cribs in terms of build quality and sleek design; Pali, Munire, and Basset cribs are just a handful that can offer cribs that are that good.

An increasingly popular crib option is the convertible model. Its versatility and long-term cost savings really appeal and many parents love the overall sleek look of this type of crib. Sorelle convertible cribs come in 3-in-1 and 4-in-1 versions, the latter being the most popular as this type can be converted from a crib to a toddler bed, to a sofa bed to a full-size bed; it is meant to last for your child. a lifetime, and Sorelle’s are built with the best materials and workmanship so they can be passed on to the next generation.

One of my favorites is the Sorelle Cottage 4-in-1. Its overall look and understated style mean it could fit equally well in a modern nursery or one dating back to earlier times. The spindles are smooth and square-edged. Similarly, the footrail is straight, and the headboard is made of a simple cladding. The headboard rail is curved, softening its overall appearance. The finish is white or French white.

The Hamptons is another understated and stylish convertible crib from Sorelle. It’s reminiscent of the American colonial style – straight, simple shafts, with straight head and foot rails. Although it is available in Autumn and Candle Light finishes, in my opinion this crib looks best with a Cherry finish.

The Mara 3-in-1 is a very beautiful sleigh crib and comes with a storage drawer underneath, although perhaps its most distinctive feature is that it is in beavers, which makes it easy to move around; I often wonder why most convertible cribs don’t. I come with beavers; these are heavy pieces of furniture and moving them is not always easy.

If you are looking for something more ornate, the Regal might be the perfect choice. Despite having straight rails on the head and foot, the ridged legs give this piece a somewhat large appearance (the Munire Newport crib has very similar details, by the way – you should definitely compare the two). Also, unlike previous models discussed thus far, the Regal Crib comes with mini-rails, however, adult-rails are still an optional extra. As you would expect with this “grander style,” the finishes are rich, dark woods; Autumn, Cherry and Espresso.

But, for those who want a total romance, the Sorelle Anne’s Lace is a must. Ornate details include raised leaf designs on the top of the legs and on the headboard. Running along the foot and side bottom rail is a very pretty bootie and loop design. The crib comes in only one finish: French White and it just looks divine.

Sorelle convertible cribs are beautiful pieces of baby furniture that few manufacturers can match. It is true that the Bassett and Munire cribs offer convertible cribs that are just as beautiful and well made, but in comparable pieces Sorelle is cheaper and just as well made, in my opinion.
